We have company!
Jetlagged and moody, our evening pizza delivery was accompanied by the arrival of Suk and Manju, fresh from a gorilla trek in Uganda and a fly-by to Kruger National Park. In the morning, after some frantic attempts at communications, we finally met up with Deepan and Dineli, arriving from Sydney. The group had come together, and will part only after two weeks.
Baboon Patrol
We embarked on a tour to the Cape of Good Hope and the Stellenbosch wine region, and had our first babboon experience when we met a family on the road - with a warning from our driver to not open the windows, for fear the babboons would jump in and cause havoc looking for food. We had first hand experience of this when at Cape Point, a group of japanese girls had a packet of chips ripped from their grasp, with the babboon gleefully shovelling them into its mouth at breakneck speed. Moments later, a ranger ran up with a big stick, and scared the babboon away.. hilarious!

Bubbly bubble.. trouble!
Our visit to Stellenbosch took us to 'The House of JC Le Roux'- an estate producing sparkling wines. A tasting consisted of five full glasses of bubbles, which on an empty stomach, worked a treat.

We want Moyo
The evening meal was booked in for Spier winery estate, at the famous Moyo restaurant. A feast of African food awaited us, with an assortment of tagines, stews, game meats and a variety of starches (including mealie pap, made from raw banana with a texture like mashed potato - Mandela's staple in prison) and desserts, buffet style. The meal was served with a generous serving of African tribal beats and traditional dancing, absolutely spectacular.

Milestone
The day was made all the more special for celebrating Deeps and Dini's 1 year anniversary - congrats!
